Computer buggings 2
I've found another string of question marks. It happens when you do a paste special in Eudora and the dialog box comes up with the options "????" or HTML. The "????" should be "Text" I assume because that's what happens when I select it. I can't work out how to Google this mystery either. Variations of "message question marks dialog box windows XP" haven't revealed much.

If it's just Eudora that's the problem then I'd hazard the following guesses:
1. Corrupted Eudora resources: reinstall or upgrade Eudora
2. Eudora is being handed Unicode text by Windows, and it doesn't support it yet: live with the problem. Perhaps you have added some French localisation to your Windows XP install?
3. Back everything up - twice. Grab your Windows XP CD, cross your fingers and run through the "repair" process.
I couldn't find anything either. My search skills aren't great, though.
I think you have a problem with character sets and displaying unicode characters.
